On social media, a video of a road that was completely broken due to heavy rain went viral. In another scene, it can be seen that some people are crossing an underpass filled with water up to their knees. While sharing the video users claim that this video is of the Ram Mandir route in Ayodhya and users are also making allegations of corruption.

Fact Check
On investigation, DFRAC found that both videos are not from Ayodhya. Moreover, we found that a user uploaded this video on YouTube on April 21, 2024 states “road breaking down after heavy rains in Dubai”.
Further, a Facebook user uploaded a video of people crossing an underpass filled with knee-deep water on November 18, 2023, and said that it was from Dubai.
Furthermore, we also found a tweet from Ayodhya police stating that the viral video is not from Ayodhya and a case has been registered against the person spreading misleading news.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that both the videos are not from Ayodhya but from Dubai. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
