An account with the username @BGatesIsaPyscho posted this video on X and wrote: “UK Police shoot dead a Bangladeshi Male Chaos ensues in London. It’s not a coincidence you’re seeing all these events unfold. Britain is falling apart”
Furthermore, several users shared this video and made similar claims.
Fact-Check
Upon reverse-searching the keyframes generated from the viral video, the DFRAC team found the same video on the X handle of London and UK street News with the caption: “Protest in Greatorex Street e1. ( Whitechapel ) It’s related to the Bangladeshi male shot dead by police in Bangladesh”
Following this, we found some latest reports from My London, Local London, and East London Advertiser. According to reports, a man was arrested and two police officers were injured after a huge fight broke out amidst protests in Whitechapel where two large groups of men fought in the street on Thursday night, July 18, which Met Police believe were linked to recent fatalities in Bangladesh.
