Fact-Check
The DFRAC team investigated the viral video and found the same clip on the official X handle of Benny Johnson with the caption: JUST IN: JD Vance walks into the RNC convention. In this shared video clip, we noted that no slogans of India-India have been raised by the crowd at the convention. In fact, soft music can be heard on the entry of JD Vance and his wife.
For further authentication, we reverse-searched the key frames generated from this video and found some video reports on the YouTube channel of Face The Nation and CBS News showcasing the same visuals along with the same music, which can be heard in Benny Johnson’s shared video.
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the India-India slogans have been digitally added to the viral video clip. Originally, soft music can be heard as JD Vance makes his first appearance with his wife at the RNC.
Hence, the claim made by the users is false.
