A claim is going viral of Indian Army soldiers. While sharing this users state that five lndian Army soldiers kiIIed after Kashmir separatist fired an RPG at lndian T-72 tank in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Fact Check:
On investigation, DFRAC found many media reports regarding the viral claim. According to Press Trust of India “Five Army soldiers swept away in flash floods near Line of Actual Control in Ladakh”.

Moreover, The Economic Times also uploaded this report stating “Five Indian Army personnel, including a JCO and four jawans, lost their lives during a river crossing exercise in Ladakh”.

On reverse searching image attached with the claim, we found this image in X handle of Ukraine Weapons Tracker posted in August 2022.

Conclusion:
It is evident from the DFRAC fact that 5 Indian Army soldiers has lost their lives during a river crossing exercise in Ladakh, not killed after Kashmir separatist fired an RPG T-72 tank in Ladakh. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
