Moreover, numerous users shared this video on X and made similar claims.

Fact-Check

Using the Keyframes generated from the viral video, the DFRAC team found some reports from NDTV, Deccan Herald and Latestly. As per reports, the viral video is actually a scripted promotional stunt for In Drive, a ridesharing and Taxi app.

Additionally, a NDTV’s report stated: “ Vikrant has been appointed the brand ambassador for inDrive for a year-long advertising campaign reported news agency PTI”.

Whereas Deccan Herald’s report cited that the altercation was staged to highlight the shortcomings of traditional cab-hailing services and the need for a more efficient and customer-friendly alternative.

Conclusion

It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral video of Vikrant Massay’s verbal dispute with a cab driver is originally a scripted one and a promotional stunt for Taxi app called In Drive.
