Fact-Check

The DFRAC team investigated the viral video by converting it into some keyframes. We reverse-searched these keyframes on google and found that PM Modi had alluded to the Urban Naxals (a group of far-left radical communists, supportive of Maoist political sentiment and ideology) in his speech, not Arabs.

Moreover,  the shared video is originally a cropped version of full video  which is available on the YouTube account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the caption: “PM Modi Live | Public meeting in Banswara, Rajasthan | Lok Sabha Election 2024”

The video was streamed live on April 21, 2023 showing PM Modi addressing a public gathering in Banswar, Rajasthan during elections campaign.

Conclusion

It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check the Pak-based Journalist Hamid Mir has distorted PM Modi’s ‘Urban Naxal’ to Arabs. PM Modi said about Urban Naxal which is a group of far-left radical communists, supportive of Maoist political sentiment and ideology
