It is ready if some politicians think that they are smart … and want to call a bluff. If the US participates in the attack against Iran, Russia will participate against Israel.”

Upon investigating further, however, the DFRAC team found the claim to be misleading as Russia has not officially stated its participation in the Iran-Israel war. Neither said anything if it would back up Iran in case the US backs up Israel. On the contrary, Reuters published an article on the 16th of April, which says, “Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday urged all sides in the Middle East to refrain from action that would trigger a new confrontation which he warned would be fraught with catastrophic consequences for the region.”

Moreover, the video is not as recent as it is made out to be, rather it is from October 2023.

Therefore, it is confirmed by DFRAC that the claim is misleading as Russia has not officially made a statement regarding its participation in the war, nor has it taken any sides. Further, the video is old, from October 2023.
