Fact-Check

To investigate the truth behind the viral screenshot, the DFRAC team conducted a reverse image search of it and found the media reports published by the News website Mirror.co.uk and India Times featuring a screenshot of a restaurant bill and revealing that a customer named Jeffrey Paige had to burn a hole in his pocket when he did not read the menu at Chef Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant and ended up with an obscenely high bill at the end of his meal. The media reports were published two years back.
