The DFRAC team conducted a keyword search which led us to a video with the title: “Jyothi Yarraji claims Gold | Asian Athletics Championship 2023”. The video was uploaded on July 13, 2023, on a YouTube channel named Reliance Foundation Youth Sports.
According to the video’s description: ‘Jyothi Yarraji grabs 🥇 in the 100m Hurdles event at the Asian Athletics Championships 2023 with a timing of 13.09s!
Upon further investigation, the team found a news article published by the news website ‘Sportskeeda’ with the headline: “Jyothi Yarraji claims first gold for India at Asian Athletics Championships 2023. In this news article, Sportskeeda mentions that the 25th Asian Athletics Championships was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The second day (July 13) of the event started on a good note for India. Jyothi Yarraji grabbed the gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdles final.
These evidences clearly state that Jyoti Yarraji has won Gold in the Asian Athletics Championships 2023, not in the ongoing Hangzhou Asian Games 2023.
