A user named Rishi Raj Shanker Sanatani posted a video on Twitter and wrote: ”amazing view Spreading faster than corona #पत्थरबाजी #बीमारी ….. The name of its medicine is “Economic Boycott”. To verify the claims of the above viral video, the Dfrac team converted it into some keyframes and reverse-searched it on Google. Meanwhile, we found the same video uploaded on a Youtube channel named ‘theworkersrights’ with the title: “The Mayor of Chicago calls it a large gathering, NYC’s Mayor terms it a brand it a peaceful protest”.
When we searched about this title further, we discovered a news article published by the renowned news agency Reuters with the headline: “New York City’s Union Square erupts in chaos as live streamer’s giveaway goes awry. In this news, Reuters revealed: “Thousands of people overran New York City’s Union Square and the surrounding streets on Friday in a chaotic scene after a popular live streamer announced a “giveaway” event, with police struggling to contain fans throwing projectiles and injuring officers.The event was promoted by Kai Cenat, best known for his live streams on the gaming site Twitch and YouTube videos. He had earlier announced a “huge giveaway” on his Instagram account for 4 p.m. ET (2000 GMT) at Manhattan park”.
