Babatpur, Varanasi: On the morning of June 13, the discovery of 6 decapitated heads in the ancient Kali temple in Babatpur has caused a sensation in the area. In a stunning incident that occurred in the Hemantpur village on Karyalay Road at midnight, a Dalit Hindu girl, who was troubled by threats of rape, cut off the heads of 6 Muslim youths while they were sleeping, and disappeared after dedicating them to the ancient Kali temple. Relatives say they had complained to Babatpur police many times before, but the police did not provide any protection to the Dalit girl, nor did they take any action against the Muslims.
Finally, when no help was forthcoming from the administration, the girl took action to protect her dignity and religion. However, the police are currently searching for the suspect.

Fact Check:
DFRAC team searched related keywords on Google to verify the authenticity of the viral claim but found no news to support it. During the search, a tweet from the DCP of Gomti Zone was noticed, which denied the incident. The tweet stated that some Twitter handles were posting fake news claiming that six Muslim youths had been killed by a Dalit Hindu girl because they had threatened to rape and convert her. This tweet was accompanied by a poster that called on people to refrain from spreading such false news and stated that no such incident had occurred in the Chauki area under police station Fulpati in the Varanasi district.
The Varanasi police department is monitoring social media platforms and will take legal action against those who post such fake news. UP TAK’s Twitter handle was also checked, and no news related to this incident was found. On the contrary, on 19 June, a tweet was found on their account refuting this news and calling it imaginary and misleading.
The tweet stated that the conceptual news being spread on social media with the name (logo) of UP Tak is completely false and misleading. Please do not pay attention to such fake news. The Varanasi Commissionerate has also denied this news. The police will take legal action against those who share such posts.
Conclusion:
Therefore, DFRAC’s fact check makes it clear that the claim of 6 Muslim youths being murdered for threatening rape and conversion, and a Dalit Hindu woman fleeing is fake news.
