A 45 seconds video is getting viral on the internet. In the video it is seen that the young woman and the young man are going somewhere and the young woman is repeatedly asking the young man to marry her. The young man gets irritated and then starts kicking and slapping her face again and again.
A user by the name of Angry Bird shared the video warning Hindu girls as he claims that the incident is of love Jihad. The user tweets, “Another father’s angel in the grip of Abdullah Panchar Wale. All the girls should understand one thing, don’t cheat your parents because of love affair. . The father’s angles who want to love Abdul should see whether she can tolerate this hard kick on the face or not. #lovejihad”

To investigate the viral claim DFRAC team co9nverted the video into various frames and then reverse searched it.
We found a report on ABP LIVE , dated 25th december 2022. According to the report the name of the accused was Pankaj Tripathi who is a resident OF Dehra village of Muaganj area.
Further, the team also found a tweet from the police , dated 25th Dec , 2022 announcing the arrest of the accused.
Conclusion:
Hence the claim of social media user is Misleading because:
- The video is not from the recent times but from the year 2022.
- There is no communal angle involved in the viral video as the name of the man thrashing the women is Pankaj Tripathi who is a Hindu.
