A video of a traffic police constable is going viral on social media. In this video, the policeman can be seen crying. Social media users are claiming that a Muslim youth in Churu abused and assaulted a traffic police constable and also threatened to go to the minister’s bungalow. 

Sharing this video, a user wrote – “When the Congress government is in the state, what is the condition of the policemen, leave alone the common man. Today’s incident, in Churu (Rajasthan), a Muslim youth abused a Hindu traffic policeman on the matter of removing the vehicle, said: Come to the minister’s house (English Translation).

Fact Check:

To verify the viral claim, the DFRAC team checked the official Twitter handles of Rajasthan and Churu police. We found a tweet by Churu Police in this context which informed that Narendra, a resident of Ghangu, has been accused of misbehaving with a traffic police constable and obstructing government work and has been taken into custody by the police station Sadar Churu.

Conclusion:

It is clear from DFRAC’s fact check that the claim doing the rounds on social media is misleading. The person who misbehaved with the traffic policeman is not a Muslim, nor is there any communal angle in this matter.
