A day after this game, Deshpande was severely trolled for his alleged ‘getting Rohit Sharma’s wicket is easy as he is not like Virat Kohli and Ab Devillers.’
Vikram Rajput who writes himself as a cricket lover and is a verified user on Twitter shared a thread targeting Tushar Deshpande claiming that Deshpande demean Rohit Sharma.
He writes, “Tushar Deshpande made a bold statement, “Taking Rohit Sharma is wicket is very easy. He is not someone like Virat Kohli and Ab Devilliers”

DFRAC team checked the veracity of the viral claim and found that Deshpande has cleared the statement as “Fake”. Taking to Instagram, Deshpande wrote in his story, “I have absolute respect for all the legends mentioned above. I did not, would not, make any such demeaning statements. Stop spreading fake news.”
Many others too shared the screenshot of Deshpande’s story and urged people not to spread fake news.
