#RinkuSingh is trending on Twitter as Kolkata Knight Riders registered a memorable win against Gujarat Titans on Sunday in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), courtesy of Rinku Singh as he stunned everyone by hitting 5- sixes in the last over of the chase to pull off a heist.

With this historic win, he is gaining the love and appreciation of many on social media, but at the same time gained the attention of hate-monger Ali Sohrab, in his recent post on Twitter, Ali Sohrab has projected how Rinku Singh will be Islamophobic in the near future, despite of the fact that he was helped throughout his journey by Muslims.

He tweets, “When Rinku Singh did not have the money to buy a bat, Mohammad Zeeshan got him a cricket kit. There was no money for coaching, then Masood Amin gave coaching for free. KKR (Shahrukh Khan) gave him the opportunity. Keep the screenshot, after a few years Rinku will be found tweeting against Islam and Muslims!.” (English Translated)

Fact Check:

To check the reality, DFRAC team investigated all the claims made by Ali Sohrab one by one.

  • Rinku Singh did not have the money to buy a bat, Mohammad Zeeshan got him a cricket kit while Masood Amin gave him free coaching

Reality: In none of the interviews given by Rinku Singh he did mention the help of Mohammad Zeeshan and Masood Amin, but nowhere it was mentioned about the free kit or coaching being provided to him.

  • KKR (Shahrukh Khan) gave the opportunity to play in IPL

Reality: The foremost chance to Rinku Singh was given by Kings XI Punjab, when the team bought the player for a sum of 10 lakh rupees.

When we searched for the list of IPL players in the year 2017 in Kings XI Punjab we found the name Rinku Singh on it.

Also according to the report by Indian Express, he was first selected by Kings XI Punjab in 2022 and then called for trials by Mumbai Indians.

Conclusion:

With this investigation, the team found that claims made by Ali Sohrab on Rinku Singh are misleading and baseless.

We have done many reports on how Ali Sohrab spreads hate and Disinformation in the name of religion.
