Fact Check:
To investigate the viral video DFRAC Team ran a keyword search and found a video on the official Facebook Page, with the title, “LIVE: PM Shri Narendra Modi addressing Parivartan Rally in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh”. We also found the same video on PM Modi’s official YouTube channel with a similar title.
At the 3.39-second mark on that video, we saw the same background where the “Parivartan Maha Rally”, and “Mission 300+” banners could be seen.
Other than that, in the entire speech, nothing was said about cutting petrol prices.
Further, we found no recent report published by any mainstream media houses on this issue.
Conclusion:
It is clear through our investigation that the video is being shared with a misleading claim also, it is not of recent times but of the year 2016.
