A video is getting viral on social media sites. It can be seen that a massive crowd has gathered together. Social media users are claiming that the crowd gathered to welcome the former Andra Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam.

The video comes after, the police prevented Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s entry into his Kuppam constituency, days after the Andhra Pradesh government issued an order (GO No.1) prohibiting public meetings and rallies on roads across the state.
Fact Check:
To know the reality of the viral video the team of DFRAC did a reverse image search of some keyframes of the video. The team found the official YouTube channel of Public TV Kannada news channel. The heading states- “ Siddeshwar Swamiji I Siddeshwara Swamiji’s mortal remains to be taken out I Public TV”

We also found the report in the Times of India about the passing of Karnataka seer Siddeheshwar. The heading states- “ Karnataka seer Siddheshwar Swamiji passes away at 82 after prolonged illness”

Meanwhile, we also found a tweet from a social media user which caption: “ Siddheshwar Swami of Vijaypur, Karnataka ascended to heaven yesterday. Around two lakh devotees gathered in a grand ceremony.” ( English Translation )

Conclusion:
It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the viral video is of Karnataka seer Siddheshwar Swamiji’s funeral and not of welcoming the N. Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam. Therefore, the claim made by social media users is Misleading.
