A collage of pictures is getting viral on social media sites. In this picture, a girl is lying naked in the cold freezer. While sharing these pictures, it is claimed that this picture is of a girl named Kajal who was in a relationship with a man named Gaffar. It is said that 7 Muslim boys raped her and locked her in a fridge, due to which she died.
By sharing this picture a user named Yogendra Singh Kaushambi District President of Uttar Pradesh captioned: “ Breaking news Kajal, who was in a live-in relationship, was first raped by 7 Muslim boys, then she was packed alive in a freeze, in a state of unconsciousness, due to which she died of cold.” (English Translation)

Fact Check:
To know the reality of the viral claim the team of DFRAC did a reverse image search of the picture and found that the blog spot mizznasty has post a similar picture of the girl on March 2, 2010. The headline: “ Naked Young girl Jammed inside the freezer and left to freeze to death.”

It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the viral image is 10 years old and given the communal angle to the image. The image is not of Assam but of Portugal. Therefore, the claim made by social media users is Fake.
