Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Singh claimed that the US police detained Goldie Brar, the mastermind of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, in the US.
Meanwhile, Panchjanya journalist Ambuj Bhardwaj tweeted a picture. It has a picture of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. He also captioned, “Congratulations Punjab! The US police caught Goldie at our behest.”

Fact Check:
To analyze the reality of the viral claim, the DFRAC team searched some keywords on Google regarding goldie Brar’s arrest in the US. During this time we got the report of The Indian Express. “As the head of the state, Let me tell you that a big gangster Goldie Brar sitting in Canada has been detained in the US. It’s definite news. California police have taken him into custody. He has contacted the Government of India and Punjab Police and informed them about his detention. They have asked if they need to be deported,”
“We will definitely bring Goldie Brar to India as per the treaty with the US so that the families who have lost their sons and daughters get some solace. Brar was the main mastermind behind (the Moosewala massacre), and there are others whose records we have. ”
“We are discussing the issue internationally so that others can be brought here. They will be questioned and there may be more revelations.
Apart from this, we also got another report from NDTV. Goldie Brar denied these claims in an alleged interview with a journalist on YouTube. He was not detained and was not in the US. In the audio clip of the interview, he can be heard refuting Mann’s claims of detention.
Conclusion:
Therefore, it is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the claim of catching Goldie Brar by the US Police at the behest of Kejriwal is fake. Because there is no mention of this in the report.
