A video is getting viral on social media sites regarding two Muslim minors stabbing a Hindu minor in Delhi.
Social Media users are sharing a video in which it can be seen that two people are stabbing a boy with a knife in a narrow lane.
A user named Ankur Shared a claim with the caption: “ A Hindu Boy- “Manoj Pandey” (15 years old) stabbed to death by Islamist Jihadis in Patel Nagar for protesting against the molestation of his sister. “Mughal 2.O” in India.”

Meanwhile, Indian Journalist and current chairman, managing director (CMD), and the editor in chief of Sudharshan News Suresh Chavanke shared a picture with the caption: “ A 15-year-old man, Manoj Negi, was stabbed to death after he objected to his sister’s molestation.
The jihadists had also beaten Nitesh Jat to death a few days ago near the same area.”

To analyze the originality of the viral claim the team of DFRAC did a keyframe search of the video on google with the help of the InVid tool. The team found an article of Dainik Bhaskar. The article headline- “ Brother stabbed to death for opposing molestation VIDEO: Accused- deceased minor”

The article further stated: A minor boy was murdered by two minors in Delhi’s Patel Nagar. The accused had teased the sister of the boy who lost his life a few days ago. When the brother resisted, he was stabbed to death. The entire incident was caught on a CCTV camera.
The incident took place on Friday evening. The boy was returning after studying computer coaching. He was passing through the lane close to his house when two boys surrounded him and the incident was carried out. Both the accused have been taken into custody.

On further research, the team found another report from Zee News. The headline of the video is “ Delhi: 2 youths, who killed the boy for opposing sister,s molestation, nabbed by police.”

The report quoted the police stating: “ During the investigation, both the minors disclosed that they use to eve- tease the sister of the perished. A few days ago, the deceased had warned them to stay from his sister and smack them. To take revenge both of them caught Manoj and stabbed him to death.
A senior police official stated that on October 28, information was received at Patel Nagar police station that one boy was brutally stabbed. A police team was sent to the spot and the victim identified as Manoj Kumar Negi was taken to Sardar Patel hospital where he was declared dead.
The reports do not mention anything regarding any communal angle to the incident.
Conclusion:
It is clear from the verification of the DFRAC that the two minor who stabbed Manoj is not Muslims. The two accused minors belong to the same community as the victim. Therefore, the claim made by social media users is Misleading.
