U.S president Joe Biden is being criticized all over the internet for his statement about his son’s death.

Similarly, while delivering a remark on lowering costs for American Families he said, “Inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq… excuse me, the war in Ukraine. I’m thinking about Iraq because that’s where my son died.”

Joe Biden’s son Beau Biden served in the Delaware Army National Guard. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in Iraq from 2008 to 2009. However, he died of brain cancer while he was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in 2015.
According to Wikipedia, Beau suffered from ankylosing spondylitis, which he was diagnosed with in 2001 after returning from service in Kosovo, and later, brain cancer, which his father believes was possibly contributed by military burn pits in Iraq.
