To analyze the originality of the viral claim the DFRAC team searched some keywords on Google. We found many news reports regarding the resignation of BJP MLA Mukesh Verma. According to a report published on Amar Ujala’s website on January 13, 2022, Mukesh Verma has resigned.

Similarly, the news of Mukesh Verma’s resignation has also been covered by many media houses. However, all these reports are from before the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, when many backward leaders including Swami Prasad Maurya, Dara Singh Chauhan,and Dharampal Saini resigned from the BJP.
