It is being claimed by users on social media sites that Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet and Ragini Nayak are Christians.
A Twitter user tweeted, “very important information has been received, Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak Supriya Shrinet is Christian, most of the Congress leaders have become Christian, fooling the people of the country with Hindu names because according to their leader, if they do not adopt Christianity, then. There is no place for them in the Congress party, this was told by a Congress spokesperson in 2017 who was not only expelled from the party but also threatened with death, that is why the God of Hindus is mocked in a TV debate in Hindi.”

Prior to joining politics, she was working as an executive editor at The Times Group. She has worked in the field of journalism for about 18 years. On the other hand, newsunzip.com quoted Supriya’s profile on the Election Commission of India to say that she is married. She has not shared her husband’s name and identity. Her husband worked in the Finance and Insurance Company. She has not even shared any picture of her husband on any social media account.

starsunfolded.com mentions that Ragini Nayak is from the Hindu religion and she belongs to Scheduled Tribe (ST).
It is clear from this fact check of DFRAC that Congress leaders Supriya Shrine and Ragini Nayak are not Christians but Hindus, hence the claim of social media users is misleading.
