Fact Check: Old video viral of celebrations on the renaming of Aurangabad
A video is going viral on the internet. In this video, people can be seen dancing and singing. Social media users are claiming that this is a celebration video after the name of Aurangabad was changed.
GyanGanga wrote the caption, “This is how citizens of #Aurangabad celebrated after their city was renamed to #Sambhajinagar”. Along with the video. In this video, everyone can be seen waving saffron flags in their hands and dancing.

On reverse image search of some frames of this video going viral on the internet, we found the same video on the YouTube channel Pradhumna Jadhav Vlog, which was uploaded on 19 February 2022, “ShivJayanti 2022 Shivjayanti 2022 Special | Aurangabad Shivaji Maharaj Putla | Kranti Chowk |”
At the same time, we also found a tweet from Lokmat, in which it has been told that Yuva Sena Chief Minister Aditya Thackeray unveiled the horse riding statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Kranti Chowk in Aurangabad. Happy Shiv Jayanti to all.
