A video of a man being tied to a tree and beaten up is going viral on the internet. Users are claiming that a YSR party member had tied a Dalit man to a tree and beat him up with shoes.
Further, sharing the video a Facebook user Kripal Verma wrote the caption which can be nearly translated into English, “The video is from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. A person belonging to the Dalit caste is being tied up and beaten up with shoes. The beater is the leader of the ruling YSR party. The condition of Dalits is similar all over India. I am saying again, can anyone other than Dalits be tied with shoes and killed?”
Similarly, many other users have shared this video on their user handle.

Factcheck
On our fact check analysis, we found a report of The Hindu. According to the report the name of the victim is Tarakeswara Rao. And, the man who is beating Tarakeswara is Suri Babu. It is noteworthy that both of them belong to Dalit Community. The incident took place over a dispute on a Mobile phone. As of now the accused is under custody. Furthermore, the accused not a leader of YSR party.
Conclusion
Hence, there is no Dalit and YSR party angle involved in the incident. Therefore, the claim related to the viral video is misleading.
