A post on social media claimed that the Gehlot government of Rajasthan has given permission to the people of the Muslim community to offer Namaz in Mewar’s Kumbhalgarh Fort .
Further, caption reads, “Congress is giving a unique gift to the Hindus who had voted for the Congress in Rajasthan. Accept happily (now Namaz will be offered in Kumbhalgadh, the pride of Mewar).Ashok Gehlot did what Akbar could not do . Rajasthan government allowed ijtema in Kumbhalgarh fort of Maharana Pratap. Only possible if Congress is there, destruction of Hindu culture.”
Fact Check:
To investigate the above claim, we looked for the information about the Fort .In 2013, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO .
Since, the Kumbhalgarh Fort comes under Archaeological Survey of India of the Union Ministry of Culture , Government of India. Therefore, it is outside the purview of the the Rajasthan government to allow Muslims to offer Namaz there.
