Nowadays social media sites have become a good platform for spreading fake news. One such news was spread by Amit Chaudhary. On April 29, he shared a video clip he wrote, “When stopped from offering Namaz in the open in Saharanpur, people outside Jama Masjid started protesting and started shouting slogans.”

On our fact check analysis we found that there was no such incident. Moreover, Saharanpur Poilce to to its official twitter account to slam the fake claims. They tweeted, “Byte given by Senior Superintendent of Police, Saharanpur regarding sloganeering by people of Muslim community outside Jama Masjid Saharanpur after prayers of Goodbye Friday in Thana Kotwali Nagar area.”
