A video of Rghav Chada, (Aam Aadmi Party leader) claiming that he threatened the supporters of deep Sidhu, as he spoke against AAP before he was dead.
Sidhu met with a road accident on the 15th of February was an activist and critical of AAP.
The clip where Chada was threatening the supporters of Sidhu went viral in which he said that, “We’ll file defamation cases against all of them. Once we’re in power, we’ll bring them to justice. Just wait, it’s only a matter of days. After March 10, we’ll deal with them one by one. Spread the word, after March 10, we’ll deal with each one of them.”
The video was getting viral all over the internet with some text written on it in Punjabi stating, “jhandu gang (AAP) is threatening those supporting Deep Sidhu, how will they behave towards Sikhs if they got elected?
Fact Check:
We found out that the clip getting viral is an edited version of the real video through our research. In the real video, Raghav was talking about Gurtej Pannu, a former AAP leader who was accused of money laundering in exchange for election tickets. The news was also covered by the Hindustan Times.
Also, the original video is shared on the YouTube channel at 19.43 minutes we can see the part where Raghav Chada is speaking these words and how the words got molded up in the sentences and created the edited video.
Conclusion:
The clip getting viral is the edited version of the video and , hence misleading in nature.
