An image is getting massively viral on social media platforms. The picture is of an underwater tunnel. Further, sharing the image, Mohibul Arman wrote which can be nearly translated into English, “Bangabandhu Tunnel is the South Asia’s first tunnel under the theKarnaphuli River. Joy Bangla Joy Bangabandhu My Bangladesh.”

Similarly, many other social media users have shared the viral picture on their handles.

On our fact check analysis we found that the viral image is morphed.
The original picture is of the Engelberg tunnel. But, the users are sharing the edited image. Moreover, they are claiming that this is Asia’s first underwater tunnel on the Karnaphuli river, Bangladesh.

Conclusion
Hence, from our fact check analysis, it is clear that users are sharing an edited picture. Although, many projects are going on the Karnaphuli river. But, there is no such tunnel as claimed on the river. We got many reports from which we came to know that Bangabandhu Tunnel or Karnaphuli Tunnel, is still under construction.
