South Indian movies like Jai bheem has created their charm in Indian cinema. The film is produced by Jyothika and Suriya under 2D entertainment and directed by T. J. Gnanavel. Jai Bheem was released on 2nd November 2021 on Amazon Prime and gained enough success because of the storyline which was based on a true story, a case fought by Justice K Chandru in 1995.  Recently on the official page of Oscar, a short clip capturing scenes of the movie and verdicts of the director Gnanvel has got featured on 18 January 2022.

So, some users on Twitter are claiming that Jai Bheem becomes the first Indian movie to be featured on Oscar YouTube Channel. They are Congratulating Suriya Sivakumar for his impeccable performance in the movie.

In short- Users are claiming that Jai Bheem is the first Indian movie that got featured by Oscar in their official YouTube handle.

Fact Check

Indeed Jai bheem is a great movie but India has also produced significant movies in the past, so we cross-checked the claim and then we got a flashing headline coming in of Satyajit Ray’s ‘Two’ which got released in 1964. Esso world Theatre asked the very Talented and famous Bengali director to create a short film. Thus the movie was based on the encounter between a boy coming from a slum area and a rich boy who lives in Bungalow. The movie created an impact as the concept of the movie was new and unseen. ‘Two’ was featured on Oscar, YouTube channel on May 3, 2016. Logically Two was featured earlier than Jai Bheem, Therefore, Jai Bheem is not the first Indian movie that got a place at Oscar’s YouTube handle.

Conclusion – The claim is misleading and fake.
