A protest was held at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), over the education system and examination system, following which Dharmendra Pradhan had to resign from the post of Education Minister. Meanwhile, students in Ranchi, Jharkhand, are also protesting over issues related to the education system. Amid this, social media users are questioning the absence of CJP and Abhijeet Dipke from the ongoing protest.
In connection with this matter, a news clip featuring senior journalist Ravish Kumar is also going viral. In the clip, Ravish Kumar can allegedly be seen questioning Abhijeet Dipke, other CJP members, and Aam Aadmi Party leaders Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia. A user named Arun Yadav shared the news clip and wrote, “Ravish Kumar exposing CJP and Abhijeet Dipke.”
Abhishek Tyagi, another user, shared the same news clip and wrote, “Ravish Kumar exposing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and Abhijeet Dipke! Even journalists supporting the opposition are becoming angry with Abhijeet Dipke and his gang!!”

DFRAC’s investigation found that the viral news clip featuring Ravish Kumar is AI-manipulated. In the original clip featuring Ravish Kumar, he was covering Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s questions to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Delhi violence and his demand for Shah’s resignation. We also contacted Ravish Kumar regarding the viral news clip. He described it as an AI-generated clip.
To investigate the viral clip, our team first conducted a reverse image search of its keyframes. We found the original news clip featuring Ravish Kumar on his official YouTube channel, uploaded on July 29, with the title “Amit Shah cornered by Rahul Gandhi, demands resignation, will Shah respond?” The description of the news clip states: “Rahul Gandhi has made Amit Shah an issue. Rahul Gandhi has been continuously questioning Amit Shah over the violence in Delhi. He has been writing letters to him but has not received a response. The way Rahul Gandhi is demanding answers from Amit Shah suggests that this battle may be heading in another direction. Why is Amit Shah unable to face Rahul?”
Our team watched the entire original video and found that the portion circulating on social media does not appear anywhere in it.
We then analysed the viral video using AI-detection tools, including Hive Moderation and Deepfake-O-Meter. The results from both tools indicated that the video had been AI-manipulated. The audio from Ravish Kumar’s original video was edited and fabricated statements were inserted into it. Hive Moderation’s analysis found that 98.1% of the speech in the video was AI-generated. Additionally, Deepfake-O-Meter’s LIPINC tool detected the video as 60% AI-generated.
We also contacted senior journalist Ravish Kumar regarding the viral news clip. He confirmed that it was an AI-generated clip.
Conclusion:
DFRAC’s fact-check establishes that the viral news clip featuring Ravish Kumar is AI-manipulated. In the original video, Ravish Kumar was covering Rahul Gandhi’s allegations against Amit Shah in connection with the violence in Delhi and Rahul Gandhi’s demand for answers from the Union Home Minister.
