A video is being widely circulated on social media with the claim that a Hindu supporter of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) said that Hindus rear cows throughout the year hoping to earn profits by selling them during Bakrid, but Muslims are not purchasing them. The posts accompanying the clip further claim that the individual appealed to Suvendu Adhikari to ask Muslims to buy cows and included inflammatory communal remarks targeting Hindus. A verified user named “Oxomiya Jiyori” shared the video with a caption “Listen to this foolish TMC supporter Hindu. He is saying we work hard for the whole year rearing the Cow, thinking that that by selling the cow on Bakrid, we will earn good amount, but Mu$lims are not purchasing from us. CM @SuvenduWB should ask Muslims to purchase cow from us. These Hindus are the worst cancer in our society.”
Another user named “Bharat” also shared the same video with a caption: “Why to blame them. They are not taught values of sanatan dharma. They haven’t lived that. Those who are supposed to do and spread it were not inclined to come to west Bengal.“

Fact Check:
The DFRAC investigation found the viral claim to be false and misleading. A reverse image search and keyword-based investigation did not yield any credible news report, authentic source, or verifiable reference connected to the viral video or the statements being attributed in the clip.
Further analysis of the video was conducted using the AI detection platform Hive Moderation, which indicated that the content was likely generated using artificial intelligence. Multiple inconsistencies in facial movements, lip-sync patterns, voice modulation, and overall visual composition were also observed, which are commonly associated with AI-generated or manipulated media.
To verify the authenticity of the clip, we also contacted AI expert “Aniket Kumar”, who confirmed that the video appears to be AI-generated. According to the him, the video contains several irregularities in both audio and visual patterns that strongly suggest synthetic generation.
Conclusion:
DFRAC’s investigation found that the viral video claiming that a Hindu TMC supporter appealed to Muslims to purchase cows during Bakrid is AI-generated. The clip is being circulated online with false and misleading communal claims aimed at provoking social tension.
