 A post is going viral on social media with a claim that Arab media has reported that Saudi Arabia may nominate a Pakistani Field Marshal for the Nobel Peace Prize for efforts to prevent a potential conflict between Iran and the United States.

The DFRAC team investigated the viral claim and found it to be fake. As part of the verification process, a comprehensive review of print and visual media across West Asia was conducted; however, no credible reports or evidence supporting the claim were identified.

Further verification included an examination of the official website of the Government of Saudi Arabia, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The latest available update on the website was dated March 22, 2026, and no statements or information related to the viral  claim were found. The cross-verification with the official Saudi Press Agency yielded no information related to the claim, further indicating that it is baseless and lacks authenticity.

We also attempted to contact the Saudi Arabian Embassy in India to seek clarification; however, no response was received at the time of publication.

Additionally, a review of prominent international media outlets revealed no coverage or substantiation of the claim.
