On 17 November 2025, DFRAC delivered a comprehensive media literacy workshop for the Muslim Student Organisation (MSO), engaging students from diverse academic disciplines and educational institutions. Conducted as part of the “Empowered Youth and Verified Voices” initiative, supported by the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), the session emphasized that fact-checking extends beyond professional journalism to become a critical skill for every social media user navigating today’s digital misinformation landscape. Through interactive exercises, participants practiced distinguishing authentic from fabricated headlines, learned Google Reverse Image Search techniques, and developed practical methods for verifying online content responsibly.
