A pak-based handle has claimed on social media platform (formerly Twitter) that an exchange of fire is reported between Pakistan and Indian troops at Poonch, LOC. One Indian soldier was injured.
An X handle named Tactical Tribune posted an image on X and claimed: “An exchange of fire is reported between Pakistan and Indian troops is reported at Poonch, LOC. 1 Indian soldier injured”

Our team conducted a keyword search related to the above-shared claim, leading us to some of the latest reports published by The Hindu, India TV and The Statesman.

As per reports, Pakistani troops on Wednesday violated ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing on Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting a befitting response by the Indian Army.
The reports further stated that the extent of damage on the Pakistan side was not known immediately but the officials said the enemy forces suffered heavy casualties. However, the Indian Army neither confirmed nor denied the information.

It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the above-shared claim made by Pak-based handle has been misleadingly shared on X. In reality, the Indian Army has given a befitting response to the ceasefire violation by Pak Army due to which the enemy troops suffered heavy casualties
