Fact Check: Old video of students taking oath to not to vote for BJP got viral

A video has got viral on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook where children are being administered an oath to not to vote for Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in coming polls.

“What a big conspiracy is happening against the country that too in the schools. What poison is filling inside the children too? Make this video so viral that this school should be closed forever and action should be taken against the principal of the school”, read the translated caption of a post.

This video got shared by thousand times and was liked by many users across Twitter and Facebook.

After doing a reverse search analysis by our team, we found out this video to be misleading and old. This video was shared by various media houses back in 2018.

AajTak also published a report sharing this video on Jan 8, 2018 with a title ‘Madhya Pradesh: Oath administered to children, will not vote for BJP.’
