The DFRAC team conducted a keyword search on Google regarding the above claim and found that no such news has been published citing protests against the banning of Eid prayers at Srinagar’s Jamia Masjid in Jammu and Kashmir. Moreover, the image attached with the claim originally dates back to 2019.
We found this image on Yandex linked with an article by the Newspaper website The Hindu On the contrary, media reports in the form of Photo galleries from Media outlets such as ABP Live and Outlook India depicted pictures of Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 that were joyfully celebrated in Jammu & Kashmir.
