Old Land dispute video falsely shared with Communal angle

A disturbing video is being shared online where a man can be seen beaten up by a group of people on the street. The users are sharing the video and claiming that a Muslim man is being beaten up by Hindus.

has shared the video and claimed: “ Muslim man Saida beaten brutally on the streets. You can hear him pleading Allah Allah “

Following the account, another user named Al Faris (@AlFaris Emirati) has also shared the video claiming, “ Indian daily routine, they kills muslim everyday”

Fact Check

We investigated the viral video and the claim. On investigation, we found that the incident is traced back to the year 2021.

We found a statement by Palnadu district police, Andra Pradesh. Their official Twitter handle informed that the incident is an outcome of a Land dispute and personal enmity between Shaik Saida & Thalakola Siva Reddy and both have been involved in provocating each other.

Firstly the dispute was about an attack done by Saidabhi on Siva reddy in a farm dispute. After which the FIR was lodged by Paladu Police on 20.01.2021.

Later after the complaint, Saidabhi was attacked by Siva Reddy on 21.01.2021 near Tummala Cheruvuru Toll Plaza. Following this, an FIR was also launched against Siva Reddy.

Conclusion

Thus there is no communal angle associated with the video. The dispute is about land disputes and personal animosity.
