Has Telugu Actor Prabhas donated 50 crores ahead of Ram Mandir Inauguration?

Claims are rife on the Internet stating that Prabhas has donated Rs 50 crore to Ram Mandir ahead of the inauguration. The Telugu actor has promised to take over the expenses for the food on the day of the inauguration, Jan 22.

Additionally, at a recent event, Andhra Pradesh MLA Jagireddy also claimed that Prabhas agreed to donate money to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He has agreed to sponsor the food for the people attending.

The DFRAC team searched some Keywords in the context of the above viral claim and found some media reports during this process.

Media Report from India Today

According to a media report published by India Today on Jan 19, 2024″, http://IndiaToday.in exclusively spoke to Prabhas’ team member to know the truth behind these claims. The source rubbished the rumors and called it “fake news”.

In addition to this, several media outlets such as Hindustan Times, Economic times, News 18, and Times of India published this news and cited India Today’s media report as its source.

Subsequently, there is no such announcement made by the actor and his team about donating money for the Ram Mandir inauguration or sponsoring the food on the day of the inauguration.
