Central Minister Smriti Irani recently undertook a trip to Saudi Arabia. Apart from the visit to Madinah, the Central Minister and her delegation also toured the Masjid-e-Nabawi (Mosque of Prophet Muhammad), Jabal-e-Ahad, and undertook a journey to Masjid-e-Quba, which is regarded as the initial place of worship for the Muslim community.
Meanwhile, a video is circulated with the claim, “Madinah Municipality is now cleaning the streets of Madinah because non-Muslim BJP officials, Smriti Irani had visited”

Fact Check
We investigated the viral claim. We enquired about the video from the Saudi locals. They confirmed that this video is from routine cleaning work. The locals informed us that the area inside and surrounding the mosques is cleaned on a daily basis.
We also found a website named Saudi Bin Ladin Group, which hails from Saudi Arabia. On the website, we found that ‘the general cleaning of the Prophet Mosque, piazzas, toilets and car park is done all day around where mopping floors is repeated and washing the piazzas is done 3 times a day in order to keep clean appearance’.
Conclusion
Thus from the fact check it is clear the claim about washing the streets of Madinah after Smriti Irani’s departure is false. The video shows a routine clean up conducted everyday.
