Army Jawans and Railway staff starting the Train by manual push: Truth Behind Viral Video

A video is getting viral on social platforms. In this video, it can be seen that some Army Jawans and Railway staff are pushing a train manually, which comes to a sudden halt. Users on social media are sharing this video relentlessly.

A verified account by the name of Time8 posted this video on Twitter and wrote: “Army-police personnel started the train lying on the tracks by pushing, the video went viral”.

 Time8 is a popular account of digital news media, having 92.6K followers on Twitter.

Another account by the name of Hum log We the People posted the same video on Twitter , captioning: ”When the train did not run, the army-police personnel pushed and started it! viral video Falaknuma Express”.

In addition to that, a YouTube channel named Bharat Samachar posted the same video on its YouTube account with the title: “ When the train did not start, soldiers started it by pushing it manually, the video went viral on social media”.

Fact-Check

To know the reality of this viral video, the team of Dfrac converted the video into keyframes. We found some media reports associated with the news of the raging fire in the train Falaknuma Express 

A news website NDTV published this news with the headline: “Fire Breaks Out In 3 Coaches Of Falaknuma Express In Telangana, No Injuries Reported”. In this news, NDTV revealed: “A fire broke out in the three coaches of Falaknuma Express between Bommaipally and Pagidipally in Telangana, following which it was stopped. All passengers deboarded the train and no injuries were reported”.

Not only this, but AAJTAK, a renowned news website, also published this news with the headline: “Telangana: Fire broke out in a moving train, three coaches gutted; panic among passengers”. According to news, Falaknuma Express went to Secunderabad from West Bengal, caught fire at Pagdipalli in Telangana. Around three coaches of train caught fire. Passengers were taken down and were being sent by another train.

Conclusion

It is clear from Dfrac’s fact check that the viral video, claiming Army Jawans and soldiers starting the train, is misleading since the viral video is associated with the news of the raging fire in Falaknuma Express at Pagdipalli in Telangana.
