A video is getting viral on social media sites regarding Muslim boys eve-teasing Hindu girls in women’s colleges.
Social media users are claiming that a group of Muslim men is engaging, eve-teasing, and assaulting Hindu women in Tamil Nadu.
By sharing the video a user named Nageswararao Damaraju captioned: “ Viral video from women college #TamilNadu, where Muslim boys are eve- teasing # Hindu girls, even assaulted father of a girl who came to pick his daughter, for objecting.

To analyze the reality of the viral video the team of DFRAC first converted the video into several keyframes. Afterward, the team did a reverse image search and found that The Hindu has covered this news. The headline- “ Viral video of a ruckus at Tamil Nadu women’s collages shared with communal spin.”
The report stated that the video showed two different incidents, and none of the accused were Muslims in either of the incidents
Deputy commissioner of Police, Madurai North, N.mohanraj, stated that the first incident took place at Lady Doak college near Tallakulam on October 30, when a group of youth who were in the area to participate in the Muthuramalinga Thevar Guru Puja created a fuss. The Tallakulam police have arrested 11 accused in connection with the case.
The other incident took place at Sri Meenakshi Government Arts college of women, Goripalayam, on November 2 when some youths who were part of a funeral cavalcade caused an inconvenience By honking horns and shouting while students were leaving the premises. When the parent, P. Senthamizh Pandian, questioned their behavior, the youth who was in a drunk state, thrashed him. The Deputy commissioner of police said the local police have arrested 6 out of the 8 accused.
