People are sharing this statement of Rahul Gandhi while criticizing the Modi government. A Twitter user tweeted the statement of Rahul Gandhi with a taunt on Modi.
Fact Check
To investigate this statement we searched the official Twitter handle of Rahul Gandhi where we found no such statement. Moreover, we searched the same statement on Google but found no evidence of Rahul Gandhi’s viral statement. On further investigation, we ran a keyword search on Twitter and found that the same statement with the same claim went viral in the month of April.
Moreover, majority of tweets done on this news were done by Pakistani accounts. Tweets can be seen here, here, here.
Conclusion
DFRAC found the claim of social media users as fake, because no such statement has been made by Rahul Gandhi.
