Social media users have shared the claim stating, “Afghan Taliban’s Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani put under house arrest on the orders of Taliban’s Emir”.

Fact Check
Upon investigation, we found the claim to be Fake. There is no mention in media reports of Haqqani being detained, under house arrest, or otherwise sidelined from his role as Interior Minister as of mid-2025.
On the contrary, recent diplomatic updates confirm his continued role as Afghanistan’s Interior Minister. In the latest reports, Haqqani met with Iran’s envoy Bahrami to discuss regional security, border cooperation, and anti–drug trafficking efforts, demonstrating that he remains active in official duties.
Conclusion
The claim is fake. Sirajuddin Haqqani continues to serve as the Interior Minister of the Taliban government and has not been placed under house arrest.
