Multiple Pakistan-based accounts shared the claim, which can be viewed here and here.

Fact Check

Upon investigation, we found the claim to be misleading. According to the official account of the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, an intelligence-based operation was launched in the Kishtwar area, where troops established contact with terrorists around 8 pm on 19 Sept 2025.

An exchange of fire ensued, and the operation is still underway. During the operation, one Indian Army soldier, Lance Dafadar Baldev Chand, made the supreme sacrifice. No other casualties have been reported.

Conclusion

The viral claim that 6–7 Rashtriya Rifles soldiers were killed in Udhampur is misleading. Official sources confirm that only one soldier, Lance Dafadar Baldev Chand, lost his life during operations, while no other casualties have been reported.
