A video is getting viral on social media platform X. The video looks like it is of a place where a massive explosion has occurred. In the video fire, explosions, black smoke, burnt objects lying on the road, burnt buildings and cars etc can be seen.
An account with the username ‘@TheBahubali_IND’ with the caption (Translated in English) “Israel almost destroyed the city of Tehran Peaceful scene after the blast in the city of Tehran Victory to Israel”.
Another user on Instagram posted the same video with the caption “Tel Aviv Hit by Iranian Missile Strikes..#Iran had threatened retaliatory strikes after #Israel carried out a wide-ranging attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities and military leaders.”
Fact Check
DFRAC found the video to be MISLEADING after a research. We reverse searched the keyframes of the video on google and found similar videos. The viral video is not from the recent Israel attack on Iran. It is an old video from the plane crash in Philadelphia on 31st January 2025.
The digital news channel from Philadelphia, @6abcActionNews, posted a video of the plane crash on YouTube on 1 February 2025. The visuals from the viral video match the scenarios from the video of the plane crash.
An American national from the channel named ‘@HakanTuluhan01’ posted another video of the incident on Youtube. This is the original video. The viral video used footage from this video.
On January 31, 2025, Med Jets Flight 056, a Learjet 55 operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, crashed in the Castor Gardens neighbourhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, shortly after takeoff, killing everyone on board and two people on the ground. The aircraft was on a medevac flight from Northeast Philadelphia Airport to Tijuana International Airport, with a planned refuelling stop at Springfield–Branson National Airport.

Hence, it was determined that the viral claim was MISLEADING. The video is NOT from the recent attack on Iran by Israel. It is from the plane crash that occurred in Philadelphia on 31 January 2025.
