Fact Check
To investigate the claim, our team listened to the MEA press briefing.
During the MEA press briefing, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh informed the media about India’s swift and precise strikes at identified military targets in Pakistan.
Wing Commander also informed of malicious misinformation campaign from Pakistan, with claims of destruction of the Indian S-400 system, along with destruction of airfields at Sirsa and elsewhere. India unequivocally rejects these false claims being spread by Pakistan.
“Pakistan has also attempted to execute a continuous, malicious misinformation campaign which claims of destruction of Indian S-400 systems at Adampur, destruction of airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa, Brahmos base at Nagrota, RT gun positions at Derangiyari and Chandigarh Forward Ammunition Depot with heavy damages to other military stations being propagated on social media. India unequivocally rejects these false narratives being spread by Pakistan.” said Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, in the press briefing.
To check on other media, Times of India has rejected the claim made on S-400 destruction. The TOI has quoted the fact check by PIB, which has debunked it and called it fake.
Conclusion
Therefore, the fact check by DFRAC clearly shows that the claims of the Indian S-400 air defence system getting destroyed is fake.
The press briefing by Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the claims made on social media by Pro-Pakistani and called it a “continuous, malicious misinformation campaign”.
