Fact-Check: Did CTD arrest 4 BLA terrorists including 1 Indian Spy? Here’s the reality
Recently, Pakistan witnessed a terrible incident a passenger train named the Jaffar Express carrying 440 passengers was hijacked by BLA separatists. Twenty-six hostages, including 18 security personnel, lost their lives in the attack. The Army eliminated all 33 terrorists the next day and rescued 354 hostages. Amid this, a claim has emerged on social media platform X(formerly Twitter) alleging that Pakistan has arrested 4 BLA terrorists including 1 Indian spy involved in the Jaffar Express train attack. A Pak-based handle has shared this claim stating these facts.
An account named Tactical Tribune shared an image on X and wrote: “Pakistan has arrested 4 BLA terrorists (including 1 Indian spy) involved in the Jaffar Express train attack”.

Fact-Check
The DFRAC team investigated this claim and found it to be manipulated. We conducted a google keyword search on X and discovered some of the latest reports from TOI, Business Standard, millenniumpost.

As per these reports, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan police has arrested four suspects who allegedly facilitated the terrorist group involved in hijacking the Jaffar Express and taking over 400 passengers hostage in Pakistan’s Bolan district on March 11. The suspects have been taken into custody for interrogation,” the sources said, adding that efforts to identify the attackers are underway.
Apparently, there is no mention of Indian spy in these reports.
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the above-shared made by Pak-based handle seems to be manipulated. The CTD has arrested four suspects in the case but there is no involvement of any Indian spy has been cited in the latest reports.
