A viral post shared an image of Asim Munir, the Chief of the Pakistan Army’s staff, meeting PM Modi of India. The image is captioned “Asim Munir presents Kashmir map as a gift to Narendra Modi.”
Fact Check
Upon investigation, the claim and image were found to be Fake. We found visible discrepancies in the fingers of PM Modi and Pakistan Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, along with the name badge of the Army uniform of Asim Munir.
Discrepancies in the Image
Taking the lead, DFRAC used an AI-generated Image Checker, Hive Moderation, which gave this image a 66.7 percent score of being an AI-generated image.

Furthermore, no media reports matched the claim of meetings between Asim Munir and Narendra Modi. We also referred to the Prime Minister’s press release from February 2025 on PIB. This claimed meeting between India’s PM, Narendra Modi, and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff is not mentioned on the site.
Conclusion
Hence, it is clear from the fact check that the image shared is AI-generated. The claim made is Fake.
The Hive Moderation tool revealed that the image is AI-generated and the Prime Minister’s Press Release from PIB has indicated that no such meeting has occurred.
