Fake image claims Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir

Claim

A viral post shared an image of Asim Munir, the Chief of the Pakistan Army’s staff, meeting PM Modi of India. The image is captioned “Asim Munir presents Kashmir map as a gift to Narendra Modi.”

A Twitter post by user Bilal Al (@thebilal_a) features an image of PM Modi and a man in a Pakistan Army uniform. The tweet’s caption reads: 'Indian administered Kashmir' Asim Munir presents Kashmir map as a gift to Narendra Modi.' In the image, Narendra Modi, wearing a white kurta and a dark grey sleeveless jacket, holds a large map with both hands while looking at it with a serious expression. The man in the military uniform, with a name tag reading 'Moin Akhtar,' is also holding the map and looking at Modi. A Pakistani flag is partially visible in the background. The image appears to be digitally altered, as such a meeting between the two individuals is unlikely.
