On social media, a video of Actor Govinda and Shakti Kapoor has gone viral. While sharing the video users claim that “If even big heroes like Govinda and Shakti Kapoor are saying this So what Salman Khan is the most popular goon of the film industry??? Who will be the hero in which film? Who will be the heroine? Who will get how much role? Who will sing which song? All this is decided by Salman Khan and his cronies?” (Translated in English)

Fact Check
During the investigation, DFRAC found that the claim was baseless. We found a full version of this video on the YouTube channel of ‘Moviez Adda’ uploaded on 12 Nov, 2018. In this video Govinda was angry on his film banned before release. Furthermore, Govinda also said that “All my artist friends, be it Aamir Khan or Salman or any other artist, after watching the film, said that this is a superhit film, how did it not get released? I became silent.”
Whereas, we also found a full version of Shakti kapoor’s part shown in the viral video. The full version available on the YouTube channel of ‘FS star News’ published on 12 Nov, 2018. In the video shakti kapoor appreciating Govinda and criticising censor board.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the viral video showing the statements of Govinda and Shakti kapoor is digitally edited, both of them can be heard criticizing banned of movies. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
